The Supreme Group offers a wide range of steel fabrication, erection, mechanical and construction services. The company was started in 1972 under it’s current ownership and through the process of acquisition can claim a continuity that goes back more than a century. It proudly focuses on the various new plants at geographically diverse locations that have joined the Supreme Group over the years. In particular, the Supreme Group recognizes that the real benefit of those acquisitions comes more from the experience and history of its people, whose expertise provides our customers with an added value well beyond the strength shown on our financial statement.
The Supreme Group has consistently pressed for an opportunity to participate in the early planning of projects. All too often we arrive at the close of a project, and in looking back, must conclude that our involvement in the project began too late, resulting in opportunities for collaboration in the design being lost and actual cost-saving ideas being missed due in the rush of high pressure and intense activity. Our understanding of project development can assist owners, designers and general contractors in maximizing overall returns on time and money spent.
With respect to capacity, we are the largest fabricator in Western Canada and the Northwestern United States. Whereas only 5 years ago the Supreme Group was confidently approaching and winning large projects touting a combined fabrication capacity of 30,000 tons per year, the Supreme Group today stands ready with 120,000 tons capacity per year, out of 8 facilities in Western Canada and Oregon, headquartered in Edmonton, Alberta. Furthermore, our expansion plans are not finished. We are making steady progress in the development of a new 60 acre modular assembly yard at Acheson, to the west of Edmonton at Beacon Hills Industrial Park, which is already available for commissioned projects.
