Don Grimoldby

I started working at Supreme steel bridge division as a journeyman fitter, where I went on to complete my welding apprenticeship and now I’m a shop foreman on an awesome day shift. First, I feel safe on the floor because our workers are properly trained and mentored by guys that really know what they’re doing. And I feel respected by my boss—we care about each others’ opinions and learn from each other. So far, my favourite projects are the Anthony Henday Freeway flyover in Edmonton and a large-arch pedestrian bridge in Fort McMurray. It feels great to accomplish something like that, to show up and excel for each other and our clients. That kind of success takes three things: accountability, collaboration and tenacity.”
