Business Development Coordinator

Supreme Steel is currently looking for an energetic, well organized, and innovative team player, to join us in the position of Business Development Coordinator.  This position will be located at either our Saskatoon, SK or Acheson, AB facility.  Under the direction and leadership of the Director of Estimating, the Business Development Coordinator will be responsible for monitoring and assisting in the development and submission of Supreme Steel proposals and estimating requests.

This individual will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

  • Support and coordinate sales processes, data analysis, and disposition of sales strategy
  • Upkeep, administration, and execution of our Cosential sales software
  • Entering of all incoming proposals into Cosential
  • Facilitating the Bid/No Bid daily meeting
  • Understand market dynamics, including key pain points, target buyers, partners and the competitive landscape in the industry
  • Managing and analyzing marketing data is required
  • Download, distribute and monitor RFP documentation from client
  • Distribute clarifications and requests for information
  • Maintain Estimating file structure and estimate files
  • Act as internal contact for proposal and estimating related inquiries
  • Assist with coordination of functional departments input into proposals
  • Follow-up clarifications with appropriate Supreme stakeholders and clients
  • Track, maintain and report on proposal status
  • Submittal of proposal submissions
  • Manage and update proposal information in SharePoint
  • May be required to develop the Proposal Log and/or other CRM tools
  • Compile and distribute KPI reports
  • Send out tender packages to subcontractors and other vendors
  • Assist as necessary to complete RFIs, EOIs and pre-qualifications relating to various proposals including maintaining a database of information and previous references
  • Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein

We are looking for a team member that:

  • Possesses a Marketing or Business Degree or Diploma
  • Two years’ experience in sales or marketing and working with proposals and contracts would be an asset
  • Has creative energy and talents and is passionate about sales, communications and marketing
  • Has the proven ability to deliver quality communication products on time and within budget
  • Is organized, detail oriented and gets the job done
  • Understands the importance of being brand consistent
  • Thrives in a fast paced, ever-changing environment with minimal supervision
  • Is keen on proofreading
  • Has strong skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) Adobe, Publisher and Web Applications
