Supreme Steel LP is currently looking for a systems driven, highly organized Production Controls Coordinator to join our production team at our facility in Acheson, AB.  The Production Controls Coordinator is a dynamic administrative role responsible for supporting production through coordination of materials and managing the consumption of materials according to the project schedule.

This individual will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

  • preparing and issuing cut lists to the shop floor to facilitate productivity requirements
  • coordinating with the plant production planners to ensure timely delivery of cut lists in alignment with the weekly fabrication schedule.
  • allocation and assignment of material while maintaining compliance with MTR’s and material grades
  • identifying gaps in material requirements and coordinating with the procurement team to ensure delivery of material aligns with fabrication schedules

With a proven ability to understand materials organization and controls, read drawings and bills of materials, and coordinate the receiving of product, the successful candidate will also possess the following attributes:

  • A thorough understanding of reading drawings to properly coordinate material
  • Ability to manage time, shift priorities and focus as needs of the projects change
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to scrutinize & validate production time, enabling us to properly measure and analyze productivity as it pertains to steel categories. 
  • Ability to take direction and perform with minimum supervision
  • Experience with Steel Fabrication processes and scheduling is an asset
