Supreme Steel is currently looking for an independent, solution-driven and highly efficient individual to join our production team at our facility in Acheson, AB in the position of Shop Maintenance. This is a full-time unionized position working our afternoon shift (Monday to Thursday, 4:30pm to 3:00 am). The Maintenance position is responsible for facilitating the maintenance program for the fabrication shop by performing routine maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment, ensuring all CNC equipment, overhead cranes and all other mechanical, electrical tools are maintained and running at optimal performance. This individual will conduct inspections to identify issues and troubleshoot tool and equipment malfunctions, utilizing schematics and technical manuals to diagnose problems and implement solutions.
The successful candidate must be a conscientious team player with a strong commitment to safety along with the following qualifications:
- Journeyperson Millwright certification is an asset, but not required
- Proven experience maintaining hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyance systems, automated machinery, and electrical work.
- Ability to utilize schematics and technical manuals to diagnose problems and implement solutions
- Solid knowledge in trouble shooting, servicing and repair
- Knowledge of low voltage electrical systems is a plus
- Ability to work in computer systems on automated equipment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
