The project scope was to supply and delivery of structural and miscellaneous steel for the expansion of the existing museum in Anchorage, Alaska. Due to seismic zone, all bracing was Buckling Restrained Braces (BRB) type. These were acquired from COREBRACE a US supplier.
The steel was loaded on the freight forwarders trailers and trucked to the docks in Tacoma, Washington and then loaded on freighters for the 5 day ocean voyage to the dock in Anchorage. Supreme Steel, formerly known of as Canron Western Constructors, also fabricated about 103 tonnes of extra deliverables that were delivered on time with the final deliveries.
