Nutrien Rocanville Potash Mine is the largest producing potash mine in the world.
Between late 2021 and 2023, Nutrien took steps to expand operations at the site to introduce a second mill and to refurbish parts of the original mill. Nutriens expectation was to have the original mill refurbished to meet the same standards as the new one.
The work was executed in brownfield conditions and through multiple critical path shutdown events that required Supreme to expertly plan its work in coordination with the Owner and Others to avoid disruption of the operating plant.
Scope included demolition, removal and replacement of key operational equipment including Ore Bins, Apron Feeders, Thickener Tank Rake, Bridge & Drive and Raw Ore Converyor Belt and Gallery. In addition, Supreme was tasked with fabricating and installing a new Tailings Pumphouse building.
Supreme completed its work without incident and ahead of schedule earning accolades from the projects Construction Manager.
