The supply and fabrication of the Mariner’s Stadium, later named Safeco Field, was awarded to Supreme (formely known as Canron) in 1997. The work consisted of fabricating the 8.8 acre, 14,000 ton steel roof, which is supported by eight 630 ft. long tri-chord trusses, weighing 1,500 tons each. The roof is state-of-the-art, and is retractable, thus allowing spectators to enjoy a baseball game in good weather.  Nearly 14,000 tons of steel in this 47,000 seat facility was required to complete the fabrication by 1998.
