Karen began her career with Midwest Constructors in 1996 and officially became part of the Supreme Steel family in 2003. Now serving as Human Resources Manager, Karen brings nearly three decades of experience—and a deep-rooted passion for people—to her role.
With a background in payroll and certifications in Human Resources, Construction Law, and a PLP designation, Karen blends technical expertise with heartfelt commitment. She is widely known across the company as a “Mama Bear” who wears many hats—both literally and figuratively—supporting construction crews, shop teams, and office staff with care, humour, and tireless dedication. For Karen, the people of Supreme aren’t just colleagues—they’re family.
Karen is a proud advocate for inclusivity in the workplace, including women in the trades and equal rights for equal work. She is also actively involved in community volunteering, always looking for ways to give back to the areas where Supreme lives and works.
When she’s not in the office, Karen enjoys weekends at her campsite with her husband, embracing their motto: “Because We Can.” Whether it’s relaxing in nature, enjoying their collection of outdoor toys, or donning one of her many signature hats, Karen knows how to unplug, unwind, and bring joy to every space she enters.
