Since joining Supreme Steel in 1996, Todd Collister has helped shape some of Western Canada’s most iconic infrastructure, including the Bow Tower, Walterdale Bridge, and the Diavik Diamond Mine. With over 30 years of experience in the structural steel industry, Todd brings technical excellence and project leadership.
A Professional Engineer registered in BC, AB, SK, and MB, Todd holds a Civil Engineering degree from the University of Alberta and credentials as a CWB Welding Engineer and Supervisor. His career path has taken him from steel detailing to senior leadership, including a decade as General Manager of Supreme’s Bridge Division and later as Vice President overseeing multiple business units.
Now, as Director of Technical Services, Todd leads engineering, drafting, and quality assurance, ensuring structural integrity across commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects. He has been a longstanding contributor to the Canadian Institute of Steel Construction (CISC), serving as Chair of the National Bridge Committee and Board, and is a founding supporter of the University of Alberta’s Steel Centre.
Outside of work, Todd is an outdoor enthusiast who enjoys skiing, mountain biking, and paddling with his family. He’s also a passionate advocate for youth and community development, coaching soccer and supporting organizations like Boys and Girls Clubs Big Brothers Big Sisters.
